Through the generosity of many donors in the past the
Library has been able to enlarge its collections of books,
periodicals, and manuscripts, and thus provide better
library service for the University and the Rochester com-
munity. In these days of rapidly rising costs we are unable
to purchase all of the material that we need, and gifts are
more important than ever before. If you have any books,
periodicals, or manuscripts that you are not using, or if
you would be interested in providing funds for the pur-
chase of material, the Librarian will be happy to hear

from you.
