"December 5-7, 1994. Toronto, Canada. Third Canadian Conference on HIV/AIDS and related issues in Aboriginal Communities. There are two streams to the conference: a community focus and a research/treatment focus. The community focus will equip Aboriginal communities with knowledge and skills to develop strategies to respond more effectively to AIDS related challenges which we face at present, and those we may face in the future. The research/treatment focus will be to provide participants with the most up-to-date information available on HIV/AIDS. The conference will emphasize the inclusion of all Aboriginal peoples, and embrace traditional family structures and values in addressing HIV/AIDS issues" Co-hosted by the Native Canadian Centre of Toronto and 2-Spirited People of the 1st Nations.
