Decision I. Dashing young Julio storms out, insulted, after sweet Marisol asks him to use a condom. "I love you," she think, "but not enough to die for you!" Decision II. Julio hears two surprising things: His friends, Marco and Miguel use condoms, and his pal, Raoul, is in the hospital with AIDS. Decision III. Marisol visits Raoul, and tells him about their fight. "Don't worry," he says, "Julio's coming here. Maybe we can all talk." Decision IV. Now convinced of the importance of condoms, Julio, on his way to the hospital runs into his little brother, Luisito. "We're off to see some ladies!" Luisito says. Julio begins a safer sex lecture. Decision V. Julio arrives at Raoul's hospital room; he and Marisol lock eyes, "I'm sorry!" they exclaim, then leave together. Raoul's next visitor, lovely Rosa, reveals she has HIV. "Have you told Julio?" Raoul asks urgently. Decision VI. As they hold hands, walking down the street, Marisol asks Julio about Rosa. He answers that she's just somebody from the old neighborhood. Decision VII. Later, on the phone with her friend Iris, Marisol finds out that Julio and Rosa used to be lovers. She weeps to herself, "Oh, Julio, you lied to me." Julio, still aglow from their afternoon reconciliation, knocks on her door. Decision VIII. Julio admits lying. Marisol insists on visiting Rosa together. But when she and Julio arrive, Rosa tells them she is HIV positive. New episodes coming soon. Rudolph W. Giuliani, Mayor, City of New York, Margaret A.
