It's time to tell your kids about the birds and the bees. And AIDS
"Not telling your child about AIDS could protect her innocence. Telling your child about AIDS could protect her life. Sex and AIDS go hand in hand. Just like AIDS and death. Over 300 people in Michigan have already died from AIDS. It's estimated that 3600 Michigan residents will have AIDS by 1991. Don't let your child be one of them. Teach your child that AIDS is transmitted through sexual contact or sharing intravenous drug needles. Teach your child that abstinence is the best prevention against AIDS. But also teach that a condom is a necessary preventative if your child does experiment with sex. Give your child the facts of AIDS. They could be the facts of life. AIDS. What you don't know can hurt you."
