There is something you can do to help in the battle against AIDS. It doesn't cost a penny and it only takes an hour of your time twice a year. You can join The Study being conducted by the AIDS Prevention Project. The Study looks at the attitudes, behavior, and health of gay and bisexual men at six month intervals over time. Joining is as easy calling for an appointment and filling out a questionnaire. If you choose, you can also have your blood tested for AIDS virus antibodies. And most important of all, you can participate anonymously. That's where Mae, Marilyn, and the other stars come in. Since you don't give us your name, we give you one of theirs. Each month, all new participants are registered with a different star's name. Anyone who joins The Study in January is "Judy". If you enroll in February we'll call you "James". Come by in March, you'll be "Billie". And so on. To remind everyone to come back for their six month follow-ups, we'll spread the word in the community when it's time for each month's "stars" to make an appearance. Your participation in this important research project will hep us learn more about how to prevent AIDS.So Be a Star. Join The Study.
