"The Rev. LOU SHELDON, founder for the Traditional Values Coalition (TVC), a fundamentalist lobby based in Anaheim, CA. Sheldom and his followers oppose equal rights for lesbians and gay men and seek to end the AIDS crisis by "curing" homosexuality through a system of psychological torture they label "reparative therapy." The TVC also fights sex education and AIDS education in the schools, actively opposes reproductive rights, seeks to impost strict "family control" on young people, and promotes censorship of the fine arts and mass media."
