Worrying isn't it
The virus that leads to AIDS is known as the Human Immunodeficiency Virus. Or HIV. A person can be infected by HIV for several years before it shows any signs or symptoms. During this time, however, it can be passed on, through sexual intercourse, to more and more people. There are already many thousands of people in this country who are unaware that they have the virus. Obviously the more people you sleep with the more chances you have of becoming infected. But having fewer partners is only part of the answer. Safer sex also means using a condom, or even having sex that avoids penetration. HIV infection may be impossible to recognize, but it is possible to avoid.AIDS. You are as safe as you want to be.
